Yay! It’s my birthday. Well birthday month, I’m not until the end of the March. For those who don’t know, my eldest boy Oliver was born on my birthday, so as well as my youngest at the beginning of the month, in my house March means cake and parties and ice cream!


I adore the Cool Treats stamp set and Frozen Treats Framelits. They make me think of summertime and warmer days and everything that this March currently isn’t. So I decided to bring a little sunshine to the March birthdays.

The card base is a piece of Kraft card stock cut at 4″ X 11″ scores at 5.5″.  I used Pink Pirouette and Melon Mambo to stamp the background sprinkles onto some Whisper White. The ice cream cones are stamped in Sahara Sand with Crumb Cake used to add the criss cross texture. The ice creams are stamped off first time in Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette and Calypso Coral. The ice creams and their cones were then cut using the Framelits and popped up using dimensionals. A border piece of the Designer Series Paper in the stripey pattern was used as a finishing touch, it reminded me of a paper ice cream cup.
